The Munster and Leinster blind football regional centre training sessions get underway again on September 27th. Munster sessions will take place from 1pm to 4pm at Supernova, Ballincollig, Cork while the Leinster sessions will take place in Ballymun United FC; St. Margaret’s Rd, Dublin from 1pm to 5pm. Other confirmed dates prior to Christmas are October 18, November 8 and November 29th. The training sessions have been promoted heavily, most recently at the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind Open day so we’re hopeful the number of players involved will continue to grow.
We are continually searching for any new players looking to get involved in blind football and cater for both males and females of all ages with varying levels of sight loss.
In addition Blind Football Ireland and the FAI Football For All Programme want to recruit coaches for the team which is still at a very early stage of development. Blind Football is a Paralympic sport that is growing quickly in Ireland, full training will be provided for coaches who would like to get involved.
